Holland Park Townhouse

Set behind a listed Georgian façade in Holland Park, this richly layered home was designed for a young family, with architecture in collaboration with Haydon Finch Studio.

The brief called for a space that could adapt over time. Dual home offices, a children's playroom, generous hidden storage and a soundproofed top-floor gym support a dynamic family life, while quieter corners offer rest and retreat. A deep green vestibule with chequerboard marble flooring sets the tone at the entrance, restored around one of the home's few original pieces, a large mirror returned to its rightful place.

Each room carries its own tonal identity: a blue-cocooned library for long hours of reading, a limewashed reception room layered with reupholstered antique pieces, and a burgundy kitchen with terrazzo surfaces and a timber-clad ceiling. Upstairs, four bedrooms unfold with material richness, from the principal suite's Farrow & Ball panelling and Gaudí-designed joinery pulls to a marble ensuite and adaptable children's rooms built to grow with the family.

The result honours the elegance of the original Georgian architecture while making it feel personal, alive and entirely of the family who live there.
